One of my favorite things about spring is picnics, and now that it’s reasonably safe to gather outside, it’s a great way to see your friends again! Considering it’s been over a year since I’ve done any real gathering, I’m craving an over-the-top picnic with lush fruit, fancy cheese, crackers, and a delicious bubbly drink.
Picnic Blanket
It all starts with a great picnic blanket! I’m not one to go with the practical styles. I tend to pick them for aesthetics and end up with a wet spot on my bum, but a few are pretty and practical.
Picnic Basket
There are some amazing picnic baskets available, but I usually throw everything into a farmers’ market wicker bag. They are usually deep, flexible and look super cute, styled on a picnic blanket.
Glassware (or plastic)
Normally, I would go for plasticware on a picnic (especially if my kids are around), but since I’m craving a fancy spring picnic, I want pretty, photogenic glassware.
Everything Else
I need a lot for this fancy spring picnic: a cheese board, cool plates, napkins, and an outdoor speaker stereo for spontaneous dancing!
