I’m Never Going To The Mall Again + Here’s Why

Busy. B-U-S-Y. We’re all overwhelmingly busy these days with work, social events, grown-up obligations, etc. The list can go on and on, am I right? I feel ya. I feel like I hardly have air to come up to breathe these days. Plus, add the whole parenting aspect on top of it and you’ve got a gal with not a lot of spare time.

As you may have read in my spending freeze post, I am obsessed with shopping. But, as much as I loveee shopping, I hateee going to the mall. So when I first heard about Try.com, I was skeptical. Because, it sounded too easy. How frustrating is it to spend hours perusing online stores, waiting for your package to arrive and then nothing works. We’ve all been there, and it’s a bummer.

Ok, so what the heck is Try.com?

Think of it this way: You need a new pair of Madewell jeans, but you’re not sure which size will fit best with your wide hips but skinny legs? Hi, welcome to my world. So what’s a girl to do? If you’re super rich and money is no object I guess you could order four different pairs and spend more than $500 until you wait for your refund to hit your account. But that’s crazy. The cool thing about Try.com is it lets you order whatever items you want to try, and then it covers the cost. Once you decide what you love, you ship the rest back and only pay for what you want to keep.

Since it’s integrated with all my favorite online stores, I decided to order a mixture of things.

  • Cute summer dresses
  • Breezy looks for our Maui trip next month
  • Everyday basics

I love patterns, and I love color. But I swear every time I order something I think will look great on me, I end up liking something else better! I loved the top two looks (wearing that Madewell dress every day, tbh), but the bottom two are a hard pass.

I know it’s silly, but this is legitimately the outfit I was most excited to try. Jeans are just not something I ever order online, but I live in comfy denim and flowy oversized tops. This was actually my first pair of Madewell jeans! This top and these jeans are definitely staying here with me.

I ordered two different sizes through Try.com, so having those options to try on at home was sooo nice!

I love being able to try on jeans with all types of different tops and styles. I ordered this purple gauzy (albeit slightly wrinkly) top from Nordstrom through Try.com and it is also staying here to live with me.

I was SO SAD this denim overall dress was way too big because I am living out some serious Kelly Kapowski style dreams right now. But, it’s super nice to just send this one back and order the right size without having to wait for a refund!

Overall, I’m stoked to keep “trying” (get it?) Try.com. It’s super convenient for busy gals who don’t want to deal with a lot of back and forth, and you can shop at all of your favorite stores like Nordstrom, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, ASOS and more!

Our kind friends over at Try.com are offering $25 off to Glitter Guide readers! Yep, that’s right, you can get $25 off your Madewell jeans. Thank me later. Don’t forget to pop over to Instagram to say “hi” and let me know how you like it! I’m thinking a virtual fashion show might be in order? Let’s do it!
