“No-Makeup” Makeup Looks We Love

Maybe she’s born with it…maybe it’s just a really good makeup application? I know some people may be thinking, “If I want a no-makeup look, why don’t I just not wear makeup?” And you know what? If you can roll out of bed with zero help and products and look like Brooke Shields a la “Blue Lagoon,” I’m green with envy. Whether it’s skin texture, breakouts, undereye circles or whatever, we sometimes need a little help to feel our best before logging into our next Zoom call. I definitely haven’t been wearing makeup 80 percent of the time recently, but every once in awhile, you want to zhush it up without looking like you’re heading out for a night on the town. These “no-makeup” looks are actually just a genius representation of using the right products in the right places. So before your next meeting, Zoom or otherwise, try out one of these looks for an effortless glow.

Zendaya is such a natural beauty, but even she knows the value of a little lip tint, brow gel and rosy cheeks.

A little highlighter goes a long way for the perfect “no-makeup” look. Champagne and rose gold are the best choices for a natural glow. Dab them on high points of your face and the inner corners of your eyes and dazzle away.

Berry-stained lips are such a vibe. If you want to add a pop of color to your look without looking overdone, stick with a matte eyeshadow close to your skintone and a juicy lip stain.

Using nude lip liner with a glossy top coat gives the appearance of fuller, Angelina-esque lips. Try to keep your eyeshadow and blush in the same color family for a cohesive, natural look.

Bushy brows are kind of like the MVP of the “no-makeup” look. Use a clear or tinted brow gel to brush your brows upwards for a fuller, more “beautifully untamed” vibe.

Glossy eyelids are a great way to achieve that natural look. The gloss finish reflects light and makes your eyes appear brighter and more awake (which we probably all need rn). A simple swipe of glossy color makes all the difference.

Please, if you have freckles, let those babies shine. I’m obsessed with freckles and wish I was blessed in that department, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. My main girl Zoe always looks flawless, but this subtle look focuses on rosy cheeks and a pop of shimmery shadow, which allows her natural features to shine through.
