So much happened during the early days of the pandemic, it was hard to see what the end would even look like. And yet, the world still turned and while everything around us changed, some hardworking brands were actually able to find success among all of the chaos and noise.
I find celebrating even the smallest successes essential to my wellbeing. These brands launched during the pandemic, and are proving that success stories are still possible.
Brik + Clik
The specialty curated concept store melds the online and offline shopping experience with emerging brands. It is a minority-owned brand putting the focus on the retail experience from beauty to home goods. Even its virtual store can be toured from a very editorial point of view. This is where you’ll find the next best indie brands.
Gelid Beauty
Created by Lorraine Curry, Gelid Beauty elevates the at-home spa moments with trendy and functional tools. At a time when we needed to access more beauty at home, the brand was born. The Ice Globes are a favorite among influencers.
Martha Stewart CBD for Pet
I love that this brand focused on improving pet health through evidence-based CBD formulas. I was able to try the drops and various biscuit flavors with my dog after she hurt her leg running, and was in constant pain. The treats smelled a little too delicious, and now they’re her bedtime treat.
Cloth + Bristle
A premium home brand that is all-natural so you can feel safe to clean everything in your home from your tub and sink to your jewelry and makeup brushes. It launched in July 2020, the beginning of the end, or so it felt like. Even the brushes look chic on my countertop, because, of course, I forget to put things away more often than not.
Moods By NUME
Based in New York, Moods by NUME is the brainchild of real estate entrepreneur Myrline St. Hubert, who brings more than a decade of corporate housing experience to her brand of candles and fragrance sprays.
Youzey
Youzey is a fashion accessories brand focused on giving back to the arts community. The woman-owned and -run shop donates 10 percent of every purchase to Americans for the Arts. It is focused on consistently updating its trendy finds.
United Sodas of America
There is so much allure built into the United Sodas brand from the pops of color to an endless array of flavors. It has curated flavor packs revolving around fun themes, plus, free shipping to 50 states!
Bread Beauty Supply
This haircare brand took us by storm and has built a loyal cult following thanks to its easy-to-follow routines only arming customers with the essentials. Just wash, mask, and oil, and you’ve got the perfect quick hair routine at your fingertips.
The Only Jane
Founded by Jane Herman and made in LA, The Only Jane may just become your favorite WFH-wear brand. The simple jumpsuits and denimwear are perfect for everyday style.
