The Best Body + Face Scrubs For Dry Winter Skin

I once had an esthetician who told me, “You can buy all the best skincare products in the world, but none of them are going to work unless you regularly exfoliate.” That piece of advice has always stuck with me on my skincare journey. Exfoliating removes the barrier of dead skin cells that clog your skin and don’t let your other products penetrate, and can also lead to breakouts and dull skin. These dry, dead skin cells are especially prominent in the winter months. So if you haven’t introduced face and body scrub into your beauty routine, it’s time to start. Trust me, your winter skin will thank you.

Transforming Walnut Scrub

I use this face scrub about three times a week before I do any kind of face mask or treatment. It exfoliates effectively, but gently so I get the most bang for my buck with my face masks.

KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA

If you suffer from permanent goosebumps, “chicken skin” or the more technical term, keratosis pilaris, this is a must-have for your beauty stash.

New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains

A fully clean cleanser that utilizes cranberry seeds and rice bran powder to remove dead, gunky skin.

Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliator

A cult-favorite beauty product that has been around for years. It’s gel-based and gently buffs away dullness, leaving your skin “sparkling.”

Crushed Amethyst Exfoliating Body Polish

Are you dry and flaky, but also just a tiny bit bougie? Then you should definitely be exfoliating with crushed amethyst. JK, but this dreamy body polish really does leave you feeling soft and supple.

Rose Sugar Scrub

I’m a sucker for rose-based products, and this sugar scrub is too good. It’s packed full of rosewater, real sugar and acacia honey that immediately softens and cleanses skin.

Exfoliating Sugar Cubes

I always keep a stash of these in my shower. I like to alternate between the coconut scent in the spring/summer and the gingerbread scent in the fall/winter. These are really great for focusing on dry patches or rough feet.

Meow Meow Tweet Face Exfoliant

This is one of my favorite clean beauty brands, and I love that its face exfoliant only has five ingredients: gluten-free oats, black walnut, lavender, chamomile and marshmallow root.

Serene Scalp Exfoliating Scrub

This is one of my holy grail haircare products. If you get a dry scalp in the colder months, this scrub will save your hair. It removes dirt, oil and product buildup, and leaves your hair feeling the cleanest it has ever been.

Lemonaid Scrubba-Balm

This is a two-in-one lip exfoliant and lip balm that uses extra fine sugar crystals and crushed orange peel to remove dead skin and leave behind a protective layer of lanolin to hydrate.

Coconut Lip Scrubby

Made up of coconut, sugar and fine volcanic ash, you’ll definitely want to keep this hydrating scrub in your purse at all times.

CBD Sugar Body Scrub

This body scrub is also coconut- and sugar-based, but has an extra boost of nutrients with a dose of vitamin E and 100mg of CBD.

Purifying Body Exfoliant

Applying this body scrub is like getting a spa treatment. It’s made up of pearl grains, peppermint, rosemary and ylang-ylang, all of which combine to improve cell turnover and the ability to soak up moisture.
