How To Get Harry Styles’ Look

“What would Harry Styles wear?” WWHSW? That’s the question I find myself asking as I rummage through my closet picking the day’s outfit. I’m not surprised that I’m drawn to Harry’s current wardrobe. Harry’s always been fashion-forward, but since debuting as a solo artist in 2017, he’s been pushing gender stereotypes wearing womens’ handbags, colorfully painted nails, feminine blouses and even a pearl necklace. When Harry rocks these looks, it doesn’t feel forced, it feels natural and authentic to him, which only adds to his cozy appeal. What really attracts me most to his outfits is his nod to the past: retro suits, plaid vests, vintage T-shirts, oversized ’90s knits reminiscent of Kurt Cobain mixed with a “Dazed and Confused”-style bell-bottom pants (which he prefers to wear super high-waisted).

You can’t help but feel there was a shift in his wardrobe choices after he dated French model Camille Rowe—who also is fond of retro, vintage looks with a bold flash of color and pattern. He even makes mention of this in his song, Cherry (“I notice that there’s a piece of you in how I dress. Take it as a compliment”). Camille has always been my go-to for fashion inspiration. So again, it’s no surprise that I’m into Harry’s new look. Despite the fact that Harry often wears high-end designers like Gucci, his style is pretty easy to pull off on a much smaller budget. Thrifting for vintage is the easiest way or you can use this handy shopping guide I’ve made for you. They aren’t exact looks, but items you can wear in the essence of Harry.
