DIY Half Moon Nails

We’re always up for giving our fingernails a fresh spin–but with all of the wonderful ideas flooding the blogosphere these days, it can often be difficult to narrow down the wide array of creative choices! We were intrigued, however, upon discovering this half moon manicure–we knew it simply demanded a DIY tutorial! While this does require a bit of patience and practice, the eye-catching color combos and endless possibilities are well worth every effort! We’re positively over the moon for the end result.

Products Used: Sinful Colors Quick Dry / OPI Natural Nail Base Coat / Essie Loophole / Essie Secret Stash / Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat / Reinforcement Stickers

Step 1: Make sure your cuticles are trimmed and hands are lotioned.
Step 2: Apply the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat to each nail. Wait about 30 seconds for it to dry.
Step 3: Cut the Reinforcement Stickers in half, setting aside one for each finger.
Step 4: Paint each nail with Essie Loophole. This will be the half moon color.
Step 5: Brush a thin layer of the Sinful Colors Quick Dry over each nail. Wait about 1 minute for it to dry.
Step 6: Apply the Reinforcement Sticker Halves to each nail, as low or as high as you would like (and depending on how large you want your half moon to be).
Step 7: Make sure the entire sticker is adhered to the nail, or the next coat of polish will bleed onto the other. Apply Essie Secret Stash on top.
Step 8: Wait until all nails are dry to peel off the Reinforcement Sticker Halves. Finish with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
