Even though inclusivity is slowly inching its way into being the standard, we have far to go in the beauty community. Thankfully, there are companies out there that make inclusivity and diversity the pillars of their brand. Scroll on for some of the best brands that are shaping the world of inclusive beauty.
Jecca Blac
The beauty brand’s tagline is “makeup has no gender.” Founder, Jessica Blackler, wanted to offer a safe space for transgender women to explore and learn about makeup so she started Jecca Blac cosmetics.
Make
This beauty brand is all about inclusivity. Its website says, “Beauty is for everybody. We create modern, multifunctional products that work with every skin tone, every age, every gender.”
Thrive Causmetics
Makeup artist and product developer, Karissa Bodnar, lost her friend to cancer at just 24 years old, which caused her to launch a makeup brand with fully clean ingredients that is safe and effective on cancer patients.
Milk Makeup
Milk Makeup has long been loved for its inclusion. The brand’s website even states, “Our community is our inspiration, and we celebrate beauty for everyone.”
MFMG Cosmetics
MFMG stands for Makeup for Melanin Girls. The founder says she started the brand for women that are tired of being the last two shades in a collection and hearing “we’re working on it” when yet another brand ignores the beauty needs of deeper skintones.
Fluide
Fluide is a collection of cruelty-free makeup for all gender expressions, gender identities and skintones. By naming lip and nail shades after queer spaces around the globe, Fluide seeks to pay tribute to the importance of safe spaces for the LGBTQ community.
