Easy Beauty Hacks For When You Accidentally Oversleep

There aren’t many things in life that typically keep me away from my bed. I love sleeping! And it doesn’t help that I’m also a major lazy girl. If I had the option to spend an entire day in bed, I totally would.

So, you can understand my tendency to oversleep on occasion. Sometimes I turn my alarm off thinking that I hit snooze…yeah, I’ve been there. These are my top tips for still looking your best when you probably just got out of bed only 20 minutes ago. They’ll never know!

Have A To-Go Beauty Bag Ready

Team GG is constantly testing new products and beauty finds, so I’m sure you can imagine my extensive collection. However, I always like to haul my current favorites in a big beauty bag so if I’m ever in a time crunch and need to look my best, I already have my best tools with me.

Use Cooling Products

I like to use my jade facial roller in the morning when I’m running late. Puffiness is a very common issue and the best way to brighten up your complexion and depuff is with cooling products like a cold cream and a facial roller fresh out of the fridge. If you don’t have anything like that around you, then grab an ice cube or stick a spoon in the freezer for a few minutes and hit your trouble spots.

Concealer Is Your Friend

I love a good highlighting concealer, but there’s no time for the works! Grab a concealer that best matches your skintone to do some quick spot concealing. You can blend it in quickly with a sponge or even just your fingertips, just be sure to wash your hands before and after. Trust me, foundation is not a quick thing to try and blend in when you’re on the run.

Use Lipstick

No matter what is happening, if you don’t have any time for your beauty routine, then at least add a pop of color with lipstick. You can even dab some on a sponge or your fingers and use it as a matching blush. Adding a swipe of color makes it look like you put in some effort.

Create A Low Bun

My hair can get crazy! It’s short, and I often find it all kinds of bunched up when I wake up in the morning. My best advice is not to do anything fancy. I take a brush and sweep my hair into a low bun or ponytail, and if I have to, I’ll use bobby pins to maintain some stray hairs. Colored hair accessories are very trendy right now, so why not take advantage?

Have Everything Ready The Night Before

Obviously, no one plans to oversleep, but you can prevent hectic mornings by making sure everything is prepped the night before. I set up my vanity, and make sure that my tote is packed with everything that I need if I have a big day coming up. I like to prepare for the worst just in case, and frankly, it has always helped things run smoother whether or not I get up in time.
