11 Products You Need If You Really Hate Washing Your Hair

I will be the first to admit that I hate washing my hair. I personally don’t have that naturally effortless hair that you can just wash and it air dries into those perfect beach waves (Taylor does though, so if you’re like her, check out her air-dried waves tutorial here). Washing my hair is a production. I have to set aside a good chunk of time to go through the whole washing and styling process just to get it to look manageable. And I just don’t have the time. I know, I know, we aren’t supposed to be washing our hair every day anyway, but I try to do it a minimum of two times per week, three times if I’m feeling fancy. So if you’re anti-washing like me, you’ll love these products and accessories to help you pull off second-day hair (or third, or fourth, no judgement here).

Kristin Ess Dry Conditioner

Dry shampoo is a regular staple in any beauty stash, but have you tried dry conditioner? This one from Kristin Ess is one of my holy grail products. I spray a thin veil on second-day (and beyond) hair before going back over it with a flat iron. It helps my hair look shiny and chills out second-day frizz.

Sachajuan Dry Shampoo

If you aren’t going to wash your hair daily, dry shampoo is a must. This one absorbs all the oil in your hair and revitalizes any weighed-down volume at your roots.

Tangle Teezer Ultimate Detangler Hair Brush

This brush was designed to specifically be used in the shower so you can get out any lingering knots or tangles before you style. Set yourself up for style success!

Aveda Dry Remedy™ Daily Moisturizing Oil

This oil can be used on dry hair to help soothe split ends and tame flyaways around the crown.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

Once you try this texturizing spray, you’ll never go back. It can be used on dirty hair as an alternative to dry shampoo, and it absorbs oil and leaves you looking like you just had a blowout. You can also spray it on clean hair to add volume and texture as you style without weighing your hair down.

OUAI Anti-Frizz Smoothing Sheets

If you’re prone to frizzy or staticky hair, say hello to your new bestie. These sheets can live in your purse so you can tame rogue strands and add shine back into your hair on the go.

Packable Mesa Straw Hat

If you’re anti-washing your hair, you probably have a great stash of hats. I like to always have at least one straw hat on hand for when I have to go somewhere where I want to look put together, but also don’t want to wash my hair.

Cotton-Linen Baseball Cap

A good neutral “dad hat” can go with so many things, whether you’re just throwing it on to run to the store or pairing it with an oversized blazer for a night out.

Chunky Flip Clip Set

When in doubt, hair clips are a safe way to go. Especially if you have wavy or curly hair, pinning up the top layer with a cute set of clips will help you get away with “dirty” hair for another day.

3-in-1 Tie Back Headband

Is it a headband? Is it a ponytail holder? I don’t know, but it’s hiding the fact that I haven’t washed my hair in a few days.

Floral Enamel Claw Clip

A cute claw clip is a must for your hair accessory stash for those days you just need it up and off your face.
