I never imagined I’d write a post entirely about socks, but then again, it makes sense: I’m a bona fide sock-lover. My admiration for socks stems from necessity — my feet are freakishly cold. Socks keep my feet feeling nice and toasty. When I think back, socks have always been a “thing” for me. I’ve never been one to opt for a pair of basic, non-descript socks. I like them to make a statement. Maybe this is because I dress pretty plain. As much as I admire people dressed with flair and opulence, I’ve always dressed for comfort. You’ll usually find me in jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers — but my socks — that’s where I shine. Whether it’s with a bold color or a funky pattern, my socks show my love of quirk, and many of you noticed because one of my most frequently asked questions is, “Where do you find all your cute socks?!” I don’t have a one-stop-shop for cool socks (although more of those are popping up). The trick is: you have to be on the lookout for them.
My three loves: vintage overalls, statement socks and Converse.
Not much has changed.
Like father, like daughter.

Kule does preppy fashion extremely well — especially its accessories. The socks are not cheap, but they’re worth it.
When I’m looking for comfortable socks that are also bright and cheery, I head to Entireworld. I have many of them in all different colors, and every time I put them on, I feel happy.
The ethereal, dreamy brand Dôen teamed up with the equally lovely French brand Collégien to make a collection of socks. I bought a few different styles, and no matter which pair, they always get people asking me where they are from. I especially love the ruffled style worn with Mary Janes — it takes me right back to my youth.
