7 Beauty Products We Think Are Totally Underrated

We know better than anyone that the beauty market is, for lack of a better word, saturated. Everyone thinks they can make a better version of what someone else can. There is no shortage in options when you’re hunting for a new product. But sometimes the best ones get pushed to the back when it comes to notoriety. We have tried our fair share of products, and we think these seven are incredibly underrated. Try them now and thank us later!

Eminence Stone Crop Gel Wash

This nourishing face wash includes the unique ingredient stone crop pulp that works to calm and remove dehydrated layers of cells from the surface of your skin. It promotes a smoother and softer skin texture and is great for anyone with hyperpigmentation, hyper-sensitive skin or free radical damage.

Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Aloe + Oat Milk

A lot of people hear the words “gentle” when it comes to beauty and think it’s less effective, but that’s not true, especially with Briogeo’s new line. The line combines all the powerhouse attributes of Briogeo’s other products, but is dermatologist-approved, fragrance- and essential oil-free with nourishing and soothing ingredients for hair and scalp health.

Versed Day Maker Microcrystal Exfoliator

So far, we’ve yet to find a Versed product we don’t love, and this new exfoliator is no exception. It has an antioxidant-rich blend of black currant and raspberry leaf extract and exfoliates without gritty, rough, harsh seeds or shells.

Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream

A good moisturizer is the holy grail for any skincare routine. This clean beauty product is vegan and nourishing, without leaving your skin feeling greasy. It noticeably improves skin hydration levels, without leaving residual oil or shine on the skin. It has a velvety viscosity that leaves skin looking smooth and soothed, resulting in an ideal primer for makeup application.

Odele Volumizing Shampoo

Another common misconception of beauty products, is that they have to be expensive to be effective. That’s not true, and Odele proves it. This clean haircare brand is available at Target, and is formulated with 100 percent natural and ungendered fragrance. Odele products are meant to be shared + developed by benefit; not by gender, age or any other measure.

Dr. Loretta Intense Replenishing Serum

This is one of my holy grail products and I sing its praises any chance I get. I have Sahara Desert-dry skin, and this is the only serum I’ve found that keeps my dryness in check. It uses Lipochroman, the strongest of all antioxidants, which provides your skin with maximum pollution protection while glycolipids, lecithin, linoleic and linolenic acids trap moisture into skin surface to keep skin well-hydrated even in drier colder conditions or after exfoliants and peels.

Yon-Ka Gommage

Gommage, which comes from the French word meaning “to erase,” is a classic exfoliation method that is in the spotlight once again for its ability to leave the skin smooth and soft while also treating and hydrating at the same time. I’ve been using this gentle botanical polish for almost a decade because it hydrates and removes dead skin cell buildup to give your complexion a healthy glow. White nettle flower extract acts as a natural astringent to tighten the top layers of the skin and relieve irritation. Lime oil balances the skintone to diminish redness. Your skin will be thrilled!
