This past year has brought a lot of time spent at home, which has made it really easy to become sick of your surroundings. I’ve been working on little projects here and there to spruce things up, which means I’ve been spending a lot of time down the rabbit hole of vintage online shopping. I’ve been on the hunt for my perfect plug-in light fixture and small-space vanity, and this past month, I’ve found both.
I found this vanity for $60 on OfferUp! I had a search saved for vintage vanity and as soon as I got the alert, I snagged it.
I still haven’t “properly” hung this light fixture up, but after finding this gem on Facebook Marketplace I was too excited to care. I’ll get around to hanging it correctly soon, but isn’t it rad?!
Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp are two of my favorite underutilized gems. I’ve never been good at thrifting or vintage hunting because I just don’t have the patience to go into a store and sift through everything. I’m much better at plugging in my search terms and letting the internet do the work for me. You can still find some amazing vintage scores without stepping foot into a thrift store. We always try to buy vintage before buying new, not only because it’s better for the planet, but things are usually higher quality and far more unique than what you’d find at a big-box store.
So I thought I’d do a roundup of all my favorite recent vintage finds. Who knows, maybe I’ll make it a monthly thing? Someone should benefit from the hours I spend scrolling 😂.
