Since we’re smack in the midst of a global pandemic and not exactly allowed to enjoy spring to its fullest, I thought I would focus on things that are giving me the spring vibes this past month. Stuff that is vibrant, warm and gives me the happy feels. I hope they can for you too.
- Astrid Wilson’s Artwork: Her colorful, prints filled with flowers and fruit are exactly what I need right now.
- Linus Bike: We’ve had these Linus Bikes for years, but haven’t been able to give them our full attention till recently. My daughter is six and can fully ride bikes now. So we’ve been using them every day during quarantine. It makes me so happy!
- Bookshop.org: Reading is pretty much my only hobby. So at the start of 2020, I proclaimed I was going to go to as many independent bookstores as I could. COVID-19 has thrown a wrench in that plan. In an effort to still support the local bookstores I’ve been shopping through Bookshop.org—who help support indie bookstores.
- Tye-die: For some reason, tie-dying is the thing to do during quarantine (along with making banana bread and sourdough bread), but I’m all for the tie-dye! The best part about it is your mistakes really don’t matter. I like crafts like that.
- Brené Brown’s “Unlocking Us” Podcast: Brené is really helping me stay centered during these crazy times. Her new podcast has some really great episodes already. I loved: Brené on Comparative Suffering, the 50/50 Myth, and Settling the Ball.
- Lucy Williams in a Love Shack Fancy Knit: I’ve never needed a crochet knit more than this one. Something about it just screams joy to me. It doesn’t hurt seeing it on Lucy — she makes everything look amazing.
- Gabi Hutchison’s Home: I want my entire home to be like Gabi’s. It’s so light-filled, warm, and cozy.
- Sleep Head Playlist: Every night my kids listen to music as they fall asleep. They look forward to it. I finally compiled our favorites into a playlist for your family to enjoy too!
