These Cozy Reading Nooks Will Inspire Any Bookworm

You don’t have to have a sprawling estate to make space for a cozy reading nook. All it takes is somewhere cozy to sit in a space that’s dedicated just for diving into your favorite read. If you ask me, the only “don’t” for a reading nook, is having a tv in the space. Your reading nook should be a calming escape that helps you close out the outside world, and it’s hard to do that from the same couch you watch tv from. These reading nooks will inspire you to create your own cozy retreat no matter your square footage or style.

reading nooks

Jodi Bond’s bonus room serves as a perfect reading nook for families. We love the colorful wallpaper and perfectly placed wall lamps.

Lindsey Graziano created a coastal-inspired reading nook in the window seat of her bedroom. It’s the ideal reading space where you can also enjoy the view.

Dayna Mance’s California home has an abundance of delightful nooks, but this earthy, minimalist corner is perfect for an afternoon reading session.

Hayley Pannekoecke’s nook is perfect for reading or for enjoying your favorite record. We love the overstuffed leather chair and the easy access to their collection of books.

Brittany Chinaglia utilizes her bright and airy sunroom as the perfect reading nook. Vitamin D and reading are the perfect combo if you ask us.

Miranda Anderson’s eclectic Austin abode has so much personality, and her reading nook is no different. We love a nook with multiple seating options. Grab a book and a swing!

Limited on space? Kennesha Buycks made a genius combo reading nook/workspace with a few smart pieces of furniture. Instead of a desk chair, opt for a cozy arm chair and a small, portable stool to put your feet up.

Books in the fireplace? Genius! Create a unique home library anywhere in your home like Charlotte Jenks Lewis’s Brooklyn home. Just add your favorite comfy chair and you’re set.

Erin Wheeler’s home is one of our forever favorites, but we especially love her upstairs reading nook. Erin used decals to create a fun, quirky space that is equally cozy and perfect for reading.
