“It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.” — Roy Disney
As the new year approaches and resolution-setting is taking place, we thought it was an appropriate month to take a deep dive into creative career planning.
This year has been a doozy for us! There’s been a lot of introspection, change and growth. We made a big pivot here at Glitter Guide a few months ago to focus on creativity and pull back on a lot of the other content that we were creating. We’ve changed our social media strategy and decided to stick to our values and our intentions. It’s not always easy that’s for sure, but we feel good that we’re doing things that are connected to our interests. We feel optimistic and excited to start 2020 fresh!
This month, we want to explore that more with you. We will reflect on the past year and look at what served us and what we want to change in the future. We will dive into the importance of creating and defining values—something we find extremely helpful when it comes to creative energy. These values will act as a compass as you develop your goals and intentions for 2020.
If you’re interested in really digging into this process and making 2020 your most creative year yet, we’ve created a four-part email series with guided prompts, exercises and a checklist for you to reflect and set your values and intentions. You can learn more about it here.
We can’t wait to see what the new year will bring!
