Meet Samantha

business manager

Myers Briggs Type?

ESTJ – “The Executive; Excellent administrators, unsurpassed and managing things – or people”

Sam currently serves as Business Manager for Glitter Guide, where she oversees operations, finance, human resources, and editorial. Prior to joining the Glitter Guide team, Samantha served as Chief Financial Officer for a web development and marketing firm that was ranked the 4th fastest growing company in San Diego by the San Diego business journal. After the birth of her son, Rocky, Sam decided to exit the corporate world and found her forever home here with Glitter Guide.

After attending Chapman University for Organizational Leadership and International Studies, Samantha continued her education by receiving her MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance and Sustainability from Harvard Business School.

In 2014 she was the winner of San Diego Business Journal’s “Emerging Generation” award for business leaders in their 20’s and was the youngest finalist in 2015 for the “Women Who Mean Business” award.

When she’s not working on Glitter Guide fun, Sam can be found reading true crime novels, chasing her two year old at the beach/zoo/park/wherever his little heart desires, and hunting down her next cup of iced coffee.

What’s your favorite smell?

It’s a toss up between gardenias and fresh ground (dark roast) coffee.

Which Spice Girl would you be?

TBH I used to change my mind on this one a lot, but I think I’d have to say Ginger Spice.

How do you take your coffee?

Iced, always and forever. Luckily in San Diego it hardly ever dips below 60 when I’m drinking my coffee so I’ll always take it iced. Runner-up: cortado, but only if the espresso is A+++.

Teenage crush you still totally love?

Joseph Gordon Levitt. I’ve loved him since 3rd Rock from The Sun, to 10 Things I Hate About You, and sealing the deal as an adult in 500 Days of Summer.
