7 Seriously Impressive Before + Afters We’re Thinking About While Staying Home

If staying home these days has you thinking about makeovers and renovations, you’re not alone. Lots of people are taking this time to remodel those spaces in their home that they just haven’t had the time to tackle until now. Even if it’s just rearranging furniture, giving your house a makeover can help you feel accomplished and creative. We rounded up a few of our favorite past projects we’ve shared here on GG to help get you inspired!

Eden Passante’s living room is an oldie but a goodie. She took on her living room makeover with Sarah Sherman Samuel back in 2015. We love this makeover because it’s a tricky space to decorate without feeling cluttered, as you can see in the “before” photos. But the result was a very bright, airy and comfortable living space!

Our business manager has a huge outdoor living space that was totally underutilized. She took the space from 1,000 square feet of disarray to a cozy lounge area perfect for entertaining.

Ashley Amaral’s home might be the biggest transformation we have ever shared on GG. She took a home formerly known as the “Skittles” house and completely remodeled the interior. We love the architecture of the home with the open layouts and vaulted ceilings. If you have a big project on your hands, Ashley’s home serves as great inspiration.

Glowing PR Agency is an LA-based public relations company that we featured in 2018. Kiok Kang, the founder, shared the incredible before-and-after photos of her new office space, which hadn’t been updated or renovated in more than 30 years. We love how she took this space, which had previously been used as a construction storage unit and turned it into a bright, airy and chic office space.

If you’re doing a complete home renovation, an interior designer is always a good idea. Just like the owners of this beach-inspired home did. Hiring an interior designer can help you completely reimagine your space in a way that might not come naturally if you don’t have a penchant for design.

Another before and after from our business manager, Samantha transformed her “home office” into a dining nook. With a house under 800 square feet, space is limited and the “home office nook” became cluttered with toys and miscellaneous décor and furniture. To go along with her growing family, she revamped the space and turned it into a family-friendly dining nook.

This backyard transformation is one for the books. It went from a dull blank space to a vintage oasis. Thanks to some vintage treasures and an eye for design, this outdoor living space became a dreamy sanctuary.
