6 Podcasts For Beauty Lovers

Podcasts are still all the rage right now. There’s pretty much a podcast (actually, more like many podcasts) for just about every topic these days—from those that will make your day better, those that will make your day more interesting and our favorite for sparking creative energy, to great ones to listen to on your morning commute and those that will inspire you to live more sustainably. There’s no shortage of podcasts out there today, but which ones are actually worth listening to? That’s the hard part. Here at Glitter Guide, we listen to a lot of different podcasts, including those related to beauty. We get to test out lots of new beauty products and hear about all the newest beauty launches, so it’s a topic that’s very important to us. Which beauty podcasts do we recommend? Here are five you’ll definitely want to check out.

The Beauty Brains

This podcast is so cool because it’s hosted by a group of cosmetic scientists who are dedicated to helping listeners understand the science behind beauty products—from what the chemicals used in cosmetics really do and how products are tested to what the product’s advertising means. The cosmetic science is explained in an entertaining and easy-to-understand way, and it’s super-helpful in making informed and educational decisions when it comes to purchasing and using beauty products.

Beauty Full Lives

Hosted by former Marie Claire and InStyle beauty journalist and blogger Madeleine Spencer, Beauty Full Lives tackles topics such as the challenges and triumphs each guest has faced in their life and career journey as well as their practical tips and industry secrets.

Breaking Beauty

Breaking Beauty was created by seasoned beauty editors Carlene Higgins and Jill Dunn to give listeners the stories behind today’s best-selling beauty products. The podcast features interviews with top founders in the industry such as Glossier’s Emily Weiss and Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills. Its honest beauty reviews are also spot-on.

Fat Mascara

Hosted by Teen Vogue‘s Jessica Matlin and Marie Claire‘s Jennifer Goldstein, Fat Mascara features the latest beauty trends (including some of the most bizarre beauty crazes), and today’s must-have brands and products. Because they are current beauty editors, they have the inside scoop and the latest information on what’s new in the industry, and they sure do have fun sharing this with listeners.

Glowing Up With Esther and Caroline

With all the beauty products on the market these days promising to achieve so many things, it’s refreshing to listen to Esther and Caroline, who use their comedic background to talk about everything related to beauty, health and wellness.

Green Beauty Conversations

Started by the organic cosmetic science school Formula Botanica and hosted by Lorraine Dallmeier, this podcast tackles topics relating to green beauty trends, ingredients, industry regulations, and more. It discusses innovative formulations, new techniques and up-to-date information from the green beauty world.
