10 Things Samantha Is Loving This Month

Some months I have to dig deep for new things I’ve been loving, but some months there are too many to count. February was a month full of new finds, inspiration and creativity. I hope you’ll check out some of these small brands that I’m loving and find some new goodies for yourself.

  1. Girlfriend Collective: I’ve officially created a capsule wardrobe, and it’s made entirely out of Girlfriend leggings and bras. They are the most comfortable and supportive pieces of clothing I’ve ever owned. And as an added bonus, they are made of recycled water bottles, which helps my new focus on sustainable living.
  2. The Everly: I stayed at The Everly in Hollywood a few weeks ago for a quick LA trip, and I wish I was able to stay 10x longer. This is one of the coolest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The décor was so modern and stylish, and the staff was great. I had the most amazing view of the Hollywood sign, and having breakfast in bed from its onsite restaurant was the ultimate self-care. I can’t wait to go back.
  3. Mosey Me: I discovered this playful and contemporary textile brand on Instagram this month. I’m obsessed with the colorful designs and patterns. I just can’t decide which one to buy first!
  4. Vionic Athletic Sneakers: I have really bad plantar fasciitis, always have. As much as I love walking around the zoo with my kid or a sunset stroll through our neighborhood, my foot always hurts after a while. I’ve recently been wearing these Vionic sneakers that are designed by a podiatrist and they have been a game changer. I can walk for so much longer without the pain.
  5. Skyn Iceland: In my quest to convert to fully vegan, organic beauty, I’m loving Skyn Iceland products for my skin. I’ve always been a fan of its Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, but now I’m addicted to Glacial Facial Wash, Pure Cloud Cream and Oxygen Infusion Night Cream.
  6. Jeune et Jolie: The new favorite restaurant I mentioned above? It is the most beautifully designed restaurant in San Diego. The food is delicious, of course, but the décor is what my actual dreams are made of. Bells & Whistles is nothing short of a magic maker.
  7. Rodarte Fall 2019: My favorite design duo can do no wrong. Last week, it released its FW19 Ready-to-Wear collection and once again, it blew my mind. If I could only wear one designer for the rest of my life, this would be it.
  8. Felt + Fat: At my new favorite restaurant, I discovered this gorgeous ceramic artist. The creator, Nate Mell, has been creating one-of-a-kind pieces for the coolest restaurants across the country, and now you can buy them for yourself on his website. These are serious heirloom pieces and I need the entire blush set, ASAP.
  9. Rough Linen Textiles: I’ve loved Rough Linen for a while now. Its Summer cover is one of my favorite things I own, and my life changed when I switched to its linen towels. But this month, I’m obsessing over the kitchen textiles. There’s something about putting on my dusty rose linen pinafore that makes daily tasks feel so much more “Martha Stewart-esque.” In my quest to be more environmentally friendly, filling my house with these linen textiles brings me so much joy.
  10. Give A Sh*t: Do Good. Live Better. Save the Planet. by Ashlee Piper: This is the book that’s going to change the way you see the world. Ashlee Piper is hysterical but also educated and intelligent as hell. It’s non-judgemental, non-preachy and helps show you how to be a better, kinder, healthier and more conscious human. Trust me on this one, it’s a must-read.
