I go up to San Francisco every few months so Taylor and I can work on Glitter Guide ideas face-to-face. Working remote is definitely a perk of the job, but being together in person is necessary for big-picture planning and goal setting. This trip though, was for a fun event we hosted with Maison Miru. The trek from San Diego to San Francisco is an easy one, but my favorite part is staying in new, trendy hotels each time I visit. This trip, I was fortunate to get to stay at the Tilden Hotel, a boutique hotel right by Union Square.
The very first thing you notice when you walk in is the beautiful lobby décor. The furniture is sleek, modern and very welcoming. There’s a lot of areas for socializing and working, which was really nice for when I needed to plug in for a bit before venturing out into the city.
This might just be the world’s tiniest and cutest hotel elevator.
While the lobby décor was my favorite part, the rooms were a very close second. I love a good black-and-white vibe, and these guestrooms gave me all the minimalist vibes I crave when looking for a sanctuary away from home. The very first thing you notice when you open the door to the bedroom is the amazing natural light that filters in. I loved how bright and airy it made the space feel.
Right outside my window was this amazing mural.
I love the poem that was left on the bed—just one of the very cool and artsy touches throughout the space.
Any hotel that has an in-house coffee shop is a win in my book. I highly recommend the iced white mocha!
If you’re a minimalist who appreciates thoughtful and unique décor, definitely check out the Tilden Hotel before your next San Francisco trip!
