6 NYFW Trends We Love

It’s hard to think about spring fashion when it isn’t even winter yet, but New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is off and running. We’ve been following along closely with all the runway shows and scoping out the recurring trends we’re seeing from different designers. Hopefully you enjoy bright colors and comfy shoes, because we’re loving these six NYFW trends hot off the runway.

Floral Hair Adornment

This NYFW, designers embraced romantic floral styling for their go-to hair trend. Rodarte certainly had the most extravagant, but you could see delicate daisies and roses sprinkled throughout tresses all across the runway this week. If you only look at one runway collection this season, Rodarte is my vote.

Neon

I hope you like dressing in highlighter hues, because neon is officially on the docket for SS19. Designers like the newly solo Cushnie, Christian Siriano and more flooded the runways with vibrant colors including neon yellows, pinks and blues.

Animal Print

We don’t really believe that animal print ever goes out of style, but designers this season are taking it to a whole new level with head-to-toe creature vibes. Also, we’re loving all the size inclusivity this season on the runway, as seen here in the Christian Siriano show.

Feathered Handbags

Goodbye straw bags, hello feathers! We saw tons of feathered accents this week on the runway, including everyday bags from Oscar de la Renta and this beauty from one of our favorites, Ulla Johnson.

Tie-Dye

Tie-dye is still holding on strong this NYFW and Grateful Dead fans everywhere rejoiced. But really, Collina Strada, John Elliott (pictured), R13 and more all jumped onboard the tie-dye express. It definitely has more of a watercolor vibe to it though, so if you’re not a fan of the summer camp DIY look, you should be OK.

Flip-Flops

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been rocking this trend since my junior prom because my hatred of heels knows no bounds. Flip-flops and “dad” sandals were all over the runway this season, so comfy shoes lovers everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief.
