Taylor Sterling’s Lumière Locket Collection

Today is the day! My lockets have launched. I can’t believe it. It feels like a dream. I’ve wanted a special locket for years now. I’ve searched high and low for the perfect vintage locket and always come up short. I started daydreaming what I wanted the locket to look like and wondering if I could ever design my own. Then earlier this year, over dinner and a glass of wine, my friend and jewelry designer Ariel Gordon and I decided to join forces! Like me, she always wanted one. Together, we knew we could make the locket of our dreams.

Working with Ariel was a no-brainer. She is an incredible jewelry designer who is also a mom of two living in the Bay Area. Ariel and I first connected years ago and we have featured her twice here on Glitter Guide (Ariel Gordon’s Stylish Los Angeles Home & Office  | This Patterned-Filled East Bay Home Is A Color Lover’s Dream). Ariel and I have had similar career paths at similar times and also became mothers, she and I really understand each other. This led to a great collaboration that was a dream to work on.

The collection started with the idea of a gold vintage heart locket. I’ve always loved vintage engine-turned jewelry, but to make this work for us, we had to create ones that had a look similar to engine-turned but not as difficult to produce. The result is a gorgeous, playful scallop design that reminds us of light rays, which is in theme with all the work that I do: flashes of delight.

We decided the design looks amazing as a circle, too. I can’t decide which one I love more? Truthfully, I love wearing them layered together.

You can learn more about the lockets over on ArielGordonJewelry.com. I hope you love them as much as we do. If you get one, please share photos with us by tagging @TaylorSterling, @ArielGordonJewelry and using the #LumiereLocket hashtag.
