Summer Snacks That Don’t Require Any Heat

The last thing I want to do when I’m making food during the summer months is turn on any heat. The stove is bad enough, let alone the oven. During those warmer seasons, I try to cook with heat as little as possible, but it does mean getting creative. But instead of reaching for pre-cooked, processed meals or snacks, try one of these summer snacks that don’t require any heat next time your tummy grumbles. The trick is using ingredients that are in season and lots of herbaceous extras.
