If you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner next week, you’ve likely already planned out the food options for the day, and while food is obviously an important part of the dinner, don’t forget about the drinks! Today, Adeniz Villar of Story Place Media is here to share a recipe for a delicious signature drink that is sure to please anyone (21 and older, that is) at your feast next week. Cheers!
I’m really excited to share a cocktail recipe that I’ve recently been shaking up at home for my friends. If you like bubbly rosé, then you’re going to LOVE this cocktail. It’s great to serve as a brunch drink or when entertaining friends and family for dinner. I’m thinking with these cooler temperatures, it’s perfect for a cozy night by the fire. And, of course, the upcoming holidays offer a great opportunity to show off your cocktail-mixing skills with this signature drink. Enjoy!
Sparkling Rosé & Ginger Cocktail with Jasmine & Lemon
Serves 4
Ginger Syrup Ingredients
- ¾ cup of ginger peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Prep: Bring the ginger, sugar and water to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then let simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes. Strain through a sieve and set aside to let it cool to room temperature.
Cocktail Ingredients
- ⅓ cup of ginger syrup
- 6 ounces jasmine tea (steeped), which is about 1 cup
- 3 ½ ounces of vodka (I used Tito’s)
- 1 ½ ounce of fresh lemon juice
- Top off with sparkling rosé
Directions
Combine the syrup, tea, lemon juice and vodka in a shaking tin with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe. Top with sparkling rosé and garnish with a lemon twist or wedge.
