8 Things Samantha Is Loving This Month

It’s hard to believe another month has flown by and we’re basically in the downhill slide toward Christmas. Is it too early to start putting together a Christmas list? Asking for a friend. In the meantime, check out everything that has been on my list of favorites for the month of October.

Maison Miru Magic Earrings: “Woah, how did you do that?” is the question I get whenever I wear my new favorite illusion hoops from our friends at Maison Miru. The whole collection is so much fun, but all you need is a standard lobe piercing. It’s super unique and I love wearing them.

Jacob Turnbloom “Cemetery Luau”: I’m so excited about this solo album from one of my favorite musicians, Jacob Turnbloom. He was previously in Mrs. Magician, which, if you haven’t listened to them, you absolutely should. I am also lucky enough to call Jacob a dear friend, but I’d be a mega-fan even if I weren’t. And I may be biased, but my hubby plays a little bit of saxophone on this record as well. This album is just too good.

Baloo Weighted Blanket: I’ve been on the fence about getting a weighted blanket for awhile now, mostly because of the hefty price tag and the fear of overheating. I mean, how can a 20-pound blanket NOT be too warm, right? Well, this past month, I finally bit the bullet and I don’t know why I ever wasted my time debating. It has been a game changer. I have a couple different anxiety disorders and assumed I would just use this during the day, but I’ve been sleeping with it every night and I’ve really noticed the improvement in the quality of my sleep. Plus, I like that this one has a pink linen duvet cover, so it matches the rest of my bedding.

Oribe Serene Scalp Products: I’m on a mission to restore my hair postpartum (more on that next month), and one of the product lines I’ve really been loving is Oribe’s Serene Scalp collection. I’ve been using the Serene Scalp Exfoliating Scrub and the Serene Scalp Thickening Treatment Spray and I love both. My hair feels cleaner than ever and I am really starting to see the difference in the overall health of my hair.

The Little Market Flower Glassware: I’m anxiously on the wait list for these gorgeous hand-etched recycled glasses from The Little Market. As soon as they are back in stock, you can bet I’ll be filling my cupboards with them.

Bibliostyle: How We Live At Home With Books by Nina Freudenberger: This is what my dreams are made of. Since I was a kid, it has been my dream to live with a “Beauty and the Beast”-style library in my house. This beautiful book feeds my bookworm soul.

The Thing About Pam Podcast: This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to recently. I love a good true crime story, but this one was especially well done. But, how can you really go wrong with Keith Morrison narrating? I would listen to that man read the dictionary.

Harry Styles “Lights Up”: We here at Team GG do not hide our love of Harry Styles. We even went to see him on tour last year. It has been a couple of years since he released new music, and I’m digging his new song. Even more so, I’m loving his style lately.
