When it comes to figuring out what’s hot and new, I more often than not turn to social media for discoveries. Our wellness journey is no different. I took my search for wellness to Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter, and I totally don’t regret it. Had I scattered through a slew of blogs like I usually do, it probably would have taken me hours longer to figure everything out and filter through the noise.
Thankfully, social media came to the rescue. These wellness trends will be all over your feeds if you haven’t caught them already.
Embracing Plants
Planning on going green any time soon? Well, you’re not alone. Whether you surround your desk at home with plants, or are going for a plant-based diet, there’s a good chance it will be involving mother nature’s best greens.
Slowing Down
Gone are the days of being ‘busy’. That’s no longer a priority. Now, you’re your own priority, and you need self-care, like yesterday. Forget living every moment like it’s your last. It’s all about stopping and smelling the roses. More specifically, it’s about slowing down because you’re not in competition with everyone.
Gym Tech
Your home gym is getting a fancy update. Your gear is getting smarter, and your body is reaping all of the benefits. Focus on devices and products that boast multiple benefits considering the fact that tech is never cheap.
Less Screen Time
This is not a drill, the trends has come directly from our phones itself. It’s time to give your electronics a rest and enjoy some screen-free time. This trend involves as little electronics as possible. So take your time to read that book that’s been sitting on your nightstand, or to play a card game with your spouse.
CBD
Women’s Wear Daily’s Beauty Inc Newsletter did the best breakdown of this trend that I have ever read. It really broke down the different ingredients that we covet outside of just CBD and THC for health and skincare.
The Japanese Way
When it comes to skincare, we look to Korea; when it comes to wellness, we look to Japan. The country is full of rich history that many older citizens swear by for life longevity, and living their best days.
