We’re not going to lie, the start of the Nordstrom sale really got us looking forward to fall fashion! Last week, we shared autumnal pieces you can buy now and wear throughout the whole season, and today, we are sharing our ultimate guide to fall shoes with you. We’ve picked out our favorite styles—some classic and some a little trendier—that we can’t get enough of this fall! Scroll down below to see all our favorite shoe picks for each style.
Loafers & Mules: Loafers and mules have been hot this past year or so and they are still going strong this fall. We are loving the loafer/mule hybrid that is popping up in stores.
Textured Sneakers: These are definitely not your average sneaker! Made with different fabrics and embellishments, we are so excited to experiment and add a pair of these to our wardrobe. Think satin, velvet, tweed, beaded, quilted and more.
Chic Ballet Flats: No fall wardrobe is complete without a chic pair of ballet flats. We love our classic styles and colors that we can wear with almost everything, but we can’t wait to incorporate a pair or two adorned with some fun embellishments!
Stacked Ankle Boot: Short boots and ankle boots are essential for fall. We love the look of the stacked heel, which depending on how “stacked” the heel is, can range from a half an inch and up. We personally think our closet needs a pretty suede pair.
The Mod Block Heel: The block heel pump is almost like a sister to the stacked heel boot and definitely feels a little retro while still being chic and on trend. Our personal favorite styles are block heels with a rounder or more almond-shaped toe.
Knee-High and Over: In contrast to the ankle boot, we always like to have at least one “tall” boot in our fall wardrobe. There are so many beautiful pairs to choose from, whether you are a fan of knee-high, over-the-knee or thigh-high. We are coveting styles that are knee-high with a little heel that makes it easy and comfortable to walk in, but still dressy and chic.
The Slash Heel: One of the “it” shoe styles of the season is “The Slash” shoes (which we saw coined by Porter mag). The cut of the opening of the shoe is higher and more of a v-shape. It’s a cool new silhouette that’s a fun change from your classic stiletto pump.
